Having received part of the host broken by the priest at the Lamb of God in my hand, and then noticing that there were "crumbs" still in my hand, to the point that I needed to lick them up, I began receiving the host on my tongue. It helped also that I was on crutches for several months, and this made me so much more comfortable using my tongue rather than my paws. My pastor is not so keen on the idea; he always manages to touch my tongue. But I will not go back to the method that allows one single particle of the Lord to risk of being dropped or ignored. He is more precious that gold.
